The iconic high horn is handmade by a master glassmaker from the island of Murano, near Venice, who, during the manufacturing process, inserts very fine zecchino gold.
The column, wrapped in fine leather, stands out for its characteristic and enveloping scent. The inserts are made of red fir wood from Val di Fiemme, enriched with details in copper and brass that enhance its elegance.
The technology of COLUMNA is never subordinate to design, but an integral part of it. The configuration reflects a bold and original thinking that distances itself from common conformity. The amplification, entirely designed in our laboratory, respects traditional AB class configurations, with a high bias and a bandwidth starting from 13Hz. The management of the audio signal and energy is entrusted to a microprocessor which, with mathematical intelligence, ensures correct and respectful use.
The choice of speakers and the horn profiles reflect the expertise acquired by the founder of VAD, now considered a true form of art.
The speakers are active and do not require additional amplifiers. Equipped with automatic on and off functions upon signal detection, they offer optimized energy use while respecting the environment.
