COLUMNAE is VAD's iconic sound system, born from the desire to create a work that stands out from everything else. From the early dreams and unconventional ideas, a perfect blend was born between innovative technological choices and the precious acoustic and artisanal tradition of Italy, which VAD proudly represents.
COLUMNAE embodies the essence of Italian craftsmanship, a rare and inimitable value. Master glassmakers, leather craftsmen, carpenters, and metalworkers have carefully shaped every detail, giving this creation a sophistication that captivates the senses.

THE TRUMPET
The iconic high-pitched trumpet is handmade by a master glassmaker from the island of Murano, near Venice, who, during the crafting process, inserts very fine gold leaf.
THE COLUMN
The column, wrapped in fine leather, stands out for its characteristic and enveloping scent. The inserts are made of red spruce wood from Val di Fiemme, enriched with details in copper and brass that enhance its elegance.
TECHNOLOGY
COLUMNA's technology is never subordinate to design, but an integral part of it. The configuration reflects bold and original thinking that distances itself from common conformity. The amplification, entirely designed in our laboratory, respects the traditional AB class configurations, with high bias and a bandwidth starting from 16Hz. The management of audio signal and power is entrusted to a microprocessor that, with mathematical intelligence, ensures correct and respectful use.
SPEAKERS
The choice of speakers and the trumpet profile reflect the mastery acquired by the founder of VAD, considered today a true form of art.
SPEAKERS
The speakers are active and do not require additional amplifiers. Equipped with automatic power on and off upon signal detection, they provide optimized energy usage in an environmentally friendly manner.
